Deadline for submissions is Jan 9, 2015.
Register/Submit entries at the bottom of this page. All registered entries can be dropped off at Carls Family YMCA of Milford prior to the deadline.
Participants can compose an original freedom song to be performed at the conclusion of the March (at The SHAC), create a visual representation (painting, drawing, collage, digital art) inspired by a pre-existing freedom song (or several songs), write a poem or story inspired by a freedom song or an artist associated with the genre, or any other artistic interpretation of music or musicians associated with freedom and equality.
Age Categories: 11 & under, 12-17, 18+
Deadline:January 10, 2014 (Submissions Closed)
Categories: All Artistic Media, Poetry, Photography, Essay, Performance.
- Essays: 500 words or less
- Speeches and Performances (submitted by dvd, youtube, or electronic file), 3 minutes or less.
- Submissions are community property
for display in upcoming years
- Prizes awarded in all age groups.
